Ninja Foodi Quick Sausage Pasta (stroganoff)
As a full-time working mom, I need quick recipes after a full day. When I get home, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in the kitchen. I would rather be outside with the chickens or bees or my garden. None of these recipes are unique. I am documenting what my family likes as a quick go-to for myself and my daughters. We use venison (deer) breakfast sausage for this recipe. It gives a flavor that does not require any additional seasoning. You can substitute any sausage. Also, there is an assumption you know how to use a pressure cooker with the Ninja Foodi. If you don't, please read your manual.
Equipment
- Ninja Foodi pressure cooker
Ingredients
- 2 lbs venison breakfast sausage substitute any breakfast sausage (2 tubes)
- 1 box veggie spiral pasta
- 3-4 cups water
- 1 can 98% fat free cream of mushroom
Instructions
- In your Ninja Foodi bowl, add your sausage (mine is usually frozen), box of pasta, and 3-4 cups of water. You will have to adjust your water depending if your sausage is frozen or not. I add enough water to cover top of pasta.
- Place the pressure cooker lid on top, and pressure cook for 40 minutes.
- Once done, remove lid and break apart sausage (if frozen…you can do this ahead of time if the sausage is not frozen). You may need to pressure cook a few more minutes if not fully cooked (use common sense).
- Before serving, stir in one can of cream of mushroom soup.
- Serve and enjoy.
