“Call It What You Want” Soup

Christy
I combined two different recipes to make this soup. Call it what you want…I took a little from this and a little from that, using what I had at home. Make it simple. Make your own substitutes.

Equipment

  • Ninja Foodi (used to cook meat)

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs hamburger meat I used ground venison.
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 1 tsp minced garlic I used minced garlic from a jar.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups broth (whatever kind you want)
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes (not drained)
  • 4 potatoes (cut up)
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1/4 tsp sage

Instructions

  • Cook meat in the Ninja Foodi (or however you want to cook it).
  • While meat is cooking, saute onions, bell peppers, and garlic in olive oil.
  • Once meat is done, add to onion mixture. Stir.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. I boiled for a minute or two until potatoes were soft then simmered on stove until ready to eat.
  • Call it what you want and make whatever substitutes. If you want to save time, try omitting all the seasonings and just add a jar of spaghetti sauce. You really can't go wrong with using a jar to whatever tomato based soup you have. It's what busy moms do…
