The Breakdown and Devilled Eggs (apparently spelled with two “l”s in British recipes)

 Recipe link

Surely you do not need a recipe for deviled eggs but just in case you do, I have included one.  I actually like pickle relish in mine.

Did you know that the term “devilled/deviled” dates back to 1786 Great Britain?  Yea, me neither.  Apparently, the actual recipe dates back to Roman days but was called by other names such as stuffed eggs.  The term “devil” was first referenced by the British to describe dishes that are somewhat spicy. For the book…well, my mom liked it.  I think it would be a great beach read.  However, it just wasn’t doing it for me.  I actually texted my mom to just tell me how it ends.  She wouldn’t. So, I did what everyone would do.  Just flip to the end and read what happened. Oh, and not to digress, but I recently found out that my youngest daughter flips to the end of the book to read the ending first then goes back to read the book.  What the heck?!?!? Like, who in their right mind does that! LOL

If you want an overview, well, read the texts between my mom and me. 😉 Happy reading and Happy Thanksgiving!
